Artist's Comments

The Space Academy was hired to do a shoot for GMA Network's 2007 calendar of celebrities. We were lucky enough to get one of the popular local celebrities, Angel Locsin as our first model for the month of January.

I must say that I felt very upset when I visited this page. Because Im the first one to comment on this photo after its beeing seeing by many and for few days now. I wonder what happened to the people who want to show the artists that they care :(

Im impresses with this shot. Its has perfect stillness and perfect movement captured in one. In that case this is a motion and still combo. Great perspective and pitch correct focus makes it a viewer. Keep up the good work.
I love the indifference (or determination) of the models expression.

Great explosion effect with the water. Perfect shot :)
This is awesome ... can't believe that it hasn't got more favourites ... the lighting is wonderful ... I assume, there's some postprocessing on that one - but I do not care about it ...

Hi Andreas!

We did this with only one shot, since her top would get wet afterwards. The only post processing I ever did on this shot was to increase color saturation and contrast. The rest were really there in the shot. As for the clouds, I just slid a part of a graduated neutral density filter in the lens.
I would have bet, that there is some airbrushing work in there ... awesome effect ... I'm stunned ... and the first thought I had was, that you wouldn't want to do this shot more than once - speaking for the model especially ... :)

We did airbrush her collarbones out and took out the usual eyebags. hehehe.
Ah ... I see ... so my assumption wasn't completely wrong ... :)
